Introduction

AI has established its dominance in several fields, and it is no wonder that English language teaching (ELT) is not been left out. AI mechanisms are implied to invent new revolutionary options which make learning substantial, individualized, and effective.

AI-guided language technologies can immediately respond with feedback, be able to adapt to individual learning approaches, and even understand and correct the errors and issues such as the grammar, pronunciation and punctuation. They will use the chatboxes and scenarios from the movie to make it more realistic and give a better understanding of the environment.

Nonetheless, the utilization of AI in ELT hugely requires critical thinking. Although AI can provide unique learning environment for the learners, there are also certain limitations that need to be carefully considered. Example is that AI, unlike human beings, is not able to sense the subtleties and depth of the language. On top of their algorithms and data systems, also the design of those AI tools matters.

Nevertheless, AI has widely been accepted as a remarkable instrument in English teaching reforms including its influential pros and cons. This could also mean that the future for teaching English might be defined by the level of success we get when combining modernized facilities such as ICT into our learning centers.

At the begining, I thought that, it should involve an illustrated show of AI tools being applied in real world scenario. AI ethics should be the core conversation, outlining the implications for society. The lectures of the course should also need to inform about the ongoing AI trends. It should aim, at the end, at giving rise to students of AI who will apply efficiently their techniques in their different fields.
